Fairness at work

On 1 April 2011 the latest removal of employment rights passed by the National Government comes into effect.

Among other things, the changes reduce workers chance of fair treatment if they are unfairly dismissed, mean all workers can be required to complete a 90-day fire-at-will period when they start a new job and reduce the rights of unions to access the workplace.

Unions remain committed to reversing these changes and building a New Zealand where we all enjoy fair rights at work, decent wages and access to strong public services.

This site will tell you about what we're doing, how you can help and what you can help to protect yourself.
